Why donate?

Please be advised that our submission fees are voluntary mainly (but not exclusively) to students, people who are struggling financially or have lost their job due to covid and the lockdowns in the past two years. We understand times are difficult and the last thing we'd want is financial aspect to interfere with your passion to share your writing with the world.

That being said, please consider donating whenever possible. We will use the money for things like print, website maintenance, cover design etc. But that's not the best part of your donation.

We are passionate about making our world a better place for all, and will stop at nothing to achieve that. This is why your donation is immensely valued not just by us, but by the charity organisations we support. Up to 10% of your voluntary submission fee* will go to the animal, nature or social charity organisations.

5% from each submission (£0.25) will go to one charity organisation. If you submit two entries, you can select up to two from the list of charity organisations (10% will be equally split), or 10% to one charity organisation.

£0.70 from every purchased quarterly issue will go to a charity organisation. You can select up to two organisations (£0.70 will be split in two).

Make sure you state the name(s) and number of your chosen organisation(s) in your submission email, or as a note when you purchase the magazine, so we know where to send your donation.

Please be advised that a contribution made alongside a submission is in no way a guarantee that this submission will be selected for publication.
